Obituary of Irla Keeling
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Tuesday morning, February 20th, 2018. Irla Joan Keeling (nee Armstrong), of Owen Sound, at the age of 79 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Douglas Keeling (2013). Loving mother of Colleen Samoil and her husband, Lorne, of St. Albert, Alberta, Gary Keeling and his wife, Patricia, of Owen Sound and mother-in-law of Debbie Keeling (Bruce Milne), of Sauble Beach. Proud grandmother of Michelle (Joel), Kyle, Kurtis, Kristopher, Shelby, Reegan and great-grandmother of Jayden. Dear sister of Audrey Smith (Elwood), of Sudbury. Irla will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Hazel Armstrong; her son, Brian Keeling; her sisters, Velda Gibbons (Floyd), Fay McGibbon (Lorne), Doreen East (Charles); her brother, Ivan Armstrong; her parents-in-law, Clinton and Retta Keeling.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Friday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service for Irla Keeling will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating. Spring interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Georgian Bluffs.
