In Loving Memory
At the age of 93, after living a full and active life, Irene passed away after a short stay at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary.
She is survived by her loving daughter Jackie in Canada, her nieces and nephews and their families in England and the United States and her many friends worldwide. Irene was born within the sound of Bow Bells (a true cockney) in London, England The second of 5 children, she had many careers – fishmonger, butcher, steward of a golf club, and great caterer.
After spending 12 years in Spain, Irene came to Canada 20 years ago to join her daughter, spending many fun-filled years travelling across the country, the United States and Europe. Irene always had a smile and never a cross word, and was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time with family and friends.
