Irene F. Blakney (Surette)
1928-2018
Irene Blakney (Surette) of Lakeview Manor, formerly of
Moncton, passed away at her residence on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Born
in Summerside, PE., she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Eva
Marie (Bernard) Gallant.
She will be dearly missed by her four sons: Ronnie, Fred
(Karen), Danny (Sue) and Henry (Debbie) Surette; as well as her
sisters: Shirley, Etheline and Lorraine: brothers, Norman and Wilfred,
her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; as well as
several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by a son, Richard.
A service celebrating Irene’s life will take place
at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday, June 27, at 11:00am with
Father Allison Carroll presiding. The interment will take place in Our
Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. Donations can be made to the
memorial of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be
