Irene Danyluk

Irene Florence Danyluk passed away peacefully in her home at Canora, SK, on August 13, 2018, at the age of 71 years.
Irene was born on March 12, 1947 to William and Olga (Kopeck) Danyluk at Canora, SK. She attended school in the Canora area. In the early 1960’s, Irene moved to Winnipeg, MB, to further her education in the beauty industry. After becoming a trained cosmetologist, she returned to Canora where she owned and operated her own beauty salon on Main Street Canora. She pursued this career and continued to help people look and feel their best until she relocated to Yorkton around 1985 when she married and started a family. Blessed with a son, Tyler, Irene enjoyed the opportunity to be a stay at home mom for the next several years. In the mid 1990’s, Irene accepted a job as a family service worker with the Salvation Army, where she worked until she experienced some health issues and eventually retired.
A few years later, Irene moved back to Canora to help care for her parents. Following her father’s passing in 2008, Irene stayed to care for and live with her mother, Olga, at her residence, where she continued to reside until her peaceful passing. Remembered for the beauty she brought to this world, she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Irene was predeceased by her father, William, and her brother, Stanley. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Tyler (Zoe) and her mother, Olga; as well as her extended family, friends, neighbours and community. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Leson’s Funeral Home, Canora, SK with Pastor Greg Bright officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Sunday Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Wysla, southwest of Canora, SK. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the S.P.C.A. Saskatchewan, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Irene Danyluk.
