Obituary
After a life well lived, Irene passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the age of 92 at the Buckingham Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis (Frank) Cosgrove and only child of the late Peter McGarry and Olivina Brazeau, a loving, devoted mother to Dennis (Louise Lemaire), Audrey (Lionel Dubois), Ann (Paul Robinson) and Fay (Patrick O’Brien). She holds a special spot in the hearts of her nine grandchildren: Lisa, Jennifer, Cory, Terry, Eric, Joyce, Kristina, Kevin, and Stephen, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Irene was always on the go, kept up with the latest fashions, and welcomed the challenge of sending and receiving instant messages on her iPhone. With her sharp mind and amazing memory right to her final hours, she was able to say good bye to those she loved most. She will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and many friends.
Her life will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 490 rue Charles, Gatineau (Buckingham), Quebec, J8L 2K5. The family will receive commencing at 10:00 a.m.
The family extends a special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Buckingham Hospital for their attentive care during Mom’s journey to heaven.
