BLACK, Irene Sylvia (nee Wildish)
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Irene at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday Dec. 29, 2017, at the age of 93. Predeceased by loving husband Mervyn (Blackie), sister Vera, brothers Fred and Eric Wildish and nephew Jim. Irene will be greatly missed by her beloved son Ron (Janice), grandsons Matthew (Meagan), Garrett (Kerri), great grandchildren Owen and Ella Irene as well as nephew Gary Wildish (Joan) and their children Kristi (Mark) and Traci (Chris), loving niece Nancy Smith (Rick) and their children Sarah (Corey) and Spencer (Cherie). Irene referred to by most as Nana or Auntie was always the life of the party. A smart, dynamic and witty woman, who left a lasting impression on anyone who met her. Visitation will be held at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North (905-544-1147) on Wednesday January 3rd, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A chapel service will be held on Thursday January 4th, at 11 am. Interment at Woodland Cemetery to follow. On line condolences may be made at www.lgwallace.ca
