RALPH, Irene (née Marasse)
1932-2018
Surrounded by family, Irene, of North Bay, passed away peacefully on November 25th, 2018 in Ottawa, at the age of 86. Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Tim (Cindy), and Rachelle Clark (Jay), four grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Jayden, and Madison, and her siblings Marguerite Smith (née Marasse) and Laurent Marasse, and many nieces and nephews. Irene is predeceased by her parents Aimé and Marie (née Gravelle), her siblings Helene, Jeanne, Lucien, Aurel, John and Jules.
Born January 17, 1932, in Corbeil, Ontario, Irene devoted her life to her family and to the service of others, and nourished those around her with her love, faith and sense of humour. She worked until the age of 70 and retired to Ottawa to help raise her grandchildren. She attended their soccer and hockey games, brought joy to their lives and taught them to dream big. Irene also loved dogs, and spoiled them with walks and treats. She was an influence of strength in the lives of those who knew her.
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the emergency staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, and to the caring staff at Granite Ridge Long Term Care, for their support in her final hours.

A Mass of Christian Funeral for Irene will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Parish on
Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00am, and will be presided by Msgr. Joseph Muldoon. Memorial donations to The Dementia Society are appreciated.
