Iolene Mary Halcro
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Iolene Mary Halcro (nee Tait) on August 23, 2018 in Birch Hills, SK, at the age of 91 years. She was born in a snow storm on Good Friday in Prince Albert, SK, on April 15, 1927. Iolene is survived by, her daughters, Lynn (Fred) Fall (nee Tweedie), Sheryl (Delbert) Burechailo (nee Madden), Laurie (Guy) Wilson (nee Madden); her son, George (Sandy) Madden; her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Madden; her 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Irene Tait, Dorothy Tait, Shirley Tait; her brother-in-law, Ron Davies; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, her husbands—Lloyd Halcro, George Madden, Rex Tweedie; her son, Dale Madden; her parents, Arthur & Mary Tait; her brothers, William (Lillian), Colin, Arnold, Leslie and Alvin (Melva) Tait; her sisters, Ruby (Blaine) Young, Doris (Ritchie) Cook, Gladys (Johnny) Johnston and Reta Davies. Iolene will be lovingly remembered for her great sense of humor, her love and care for family and friends. She was a woman of strength and overcame any obstacles along her journey which was fueled by her strong faith in God. A funeral service will be held for Iolene at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018, at Crossroads Pentecostal Church, Pastor Jacobs officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home, Paula Hanson, funeral director.
