SIKOLA, Ida Florance – Passed away at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital on September 27, 2018 at age 94. Dearly Beloved wife of Olavi Sikola. Loving mother to Georgina Reed and Mary Ellen Green.
Grandmother to Jesse (Eiko) Voutour and the late Cindy Voutour. Proud great grandmother to Jason, Zachary, Joshua and Ethan Voutour. Beloved sister-in-law to Mamie (Heinz) Polawski, Taimi (George) Skalin and the late Karl Sikola. Dear aunt to David Handy, Ruth Osborne, Sheila Cumming (Ray), Jerry Polawski, Gayle Skalin (Lawrence), Debbie Moore (Craig), Mark Skalin (Joanne), and the late George Skalin. Proud Great aunt to Stephanie, Natasha, Karl, Brian, David, Laurie, Kate, George, Jessie, Alicia, Amos, Neal, Wyatt, Nell, Adrienne and Jennifer. Great great aunt to Ryley, Mattison, Logan, Abbigail, Teagan, Charlotte, Olivia, David, Annabelle and David. Dearly remembered by Dahlia Reyes and Helen (George) McDougall. Ida was born July 8, 1924 in Toronto to the late John Richard Porter and Mary Anne Taylor. Ida will be dearly missed by her family, lifelong friends and all who knew her.
In keeping with Ida’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will hold a celebration of life in 2019. Donations can be made in her memory to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation. Personal condolences may be offered to the family at www.reynoldsfuneral.com
