OBITUARY
Ian Bruce Campbell
June 21, 1935 – July 20, 2018
It is with mixed feelings of sadness and relief that we announce the death of Ian Bruce Campbell on July 20, 2018 as a result of complications due to Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was 83 years of age.
Bruce was predeceased by his beloved wife Marilyn.
He is survived by his sister Gail; brothers Jim, Peter (Kate) and Blair (Georgie Lee); and cousin Allie (John) Kilgour. He is also survived by his nephews Jim (Christine) and Fred (Liz) Prendergast and nieces Heather and Brenda (Kip Stevens); along with grand nieces and nephews Chris, Beth, Mary, Amelia, Fergus and Etta. He will also be sadly missed by his extended family of wonderful friends and neighbours.
Bruce was a lifelong employee of Air Canada working in Computer and Systems Services where he maintained many friendships. As a young person he was involved in Scouts and attained the Status of King’s Scout. He was also active in skiing, golfing, and curling. In his midlife Bruce became interested in woodworking.
In 1965, he married Marilyn Moore and together they became world travelers. Eventually he built a cottage on Fox Lake, Ontario where they spent time during the summers.
Rest easy, lad. “Slainte”
