Hugh Ross EISENHAUER, PhD
1927 – 2018
On Monday, September 3, at Carlingwood Retirement Community, in his 91st year.
Lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen Holmes; his children, Dr. Elizabeth Eisenhauer, OC (Dr. Brian Kain); Dr. Mary Eisenhauer (Dr. John Fuller); Valerie Eisenhauer (Ahren Sternberg), and Stephen Eisenhauer (Meghan Schuler); his grandchildren, Dr. Danielle Kain (Christopher Howard) and Dr. Nicole Kain (Aaron Hodgin); Ross and Katherine Fuller; Grace, Hayden and Holly Eisenhauer; and Johann and Robin Sternberg; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Tess Howard. Predeceased by his first wife, Edith Wheatland and their daughter, Dr. Carla Eisenhauer (Roderick Boldt).
Hugh was a distinguished scientist, amateur thespian and chorister, and he was devoted to his wife and family.
Friends may pay their respects at Woodroffe United Church, (207 Woodroffe Ave., Ottawa) on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery.
