In Loving Memory of
Hugh « Don » Frew passed away with grace and courage in Regina, SK, dearly beloved husband of Joan Frew (Nuttall).
He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Lily Frew.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Joan; loving daughter, Kathy (Brent) Hancock of Regina and their children Tammy (Sean), Lee and Donald; as well as loving son, Grant (Nadiya) Frew and their children Kamilla and Kasandra; his sister Bonnie Downing of Rouleau; as well as extended family including brother-in-law Wes (Joan) Nuttall of Saskatoon.
Don was born in Regina, and spent his early years in Belbeck, Pangman, Pattee and Semans, SK. Don and Joan built their first house in Pense, later moving their family to Regina.
Don’s early working years were in sales, and he turned employment into eventual part ownership at Radio Supply and Service in 1977. He logged hundreds of thousands of miles on his cars travelling throughout the province as the sales manager. As a consequence, Don could quickly discover common acquaintances with almost anyone he met.
After retiring from Radio Supply, he operated a family-built sign company in Regina for several years. Don enjoyed family time building model aircraft, music, travelling in their motor home, and quiet times writing family history.
Don was also a Presbyterian Elder and he enjoyed ushering for many years at First Presbyterian Church.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Amanda Currie officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to First Presbyterian Church, 2170 Albert Street, Regina, SK S4P 2T9.
