FUETEN: Horst;
With profound sadness, the family of Horst Fueten announces his passing at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, March 18, 2018 in his 85th year. Much loved spouse of Rev. Nora Fueten. Loving and devoted father of Frank (Paula MacKinnon), Louise (Danny Ciarniello) and Mary (Jon Hatt). Doting grandfather of Anna and Julie Ciarniello and Simon Hatt. Special uncle to Angus McLaren. Brother-in-law of Patricia Clemons and Duncan McLaren. Horst was predeceased by his first wife, Hildegard Sandmann, of Germany, his brother, Gerhardt Fueten and sister Luise Kioschus, sister-in-law Ketha McLaren and brother-in-law David Clemons. Survived by nieces and nephews, Gregory, Jeffrey and Janine Clemons, Robert, James and Suzanne Williams, sister Christel Fueten and nieces and nephews in Germany. Born in Germany, where he trained as a carpenter, Horst came to Canada in 1976 and was a sheep farmer in the St. George area. Also, he was a member of St. George United Church and the Probus Club. With music and singing as a joy, he was a former member of the Brant Men of Song. Above all, his family was most important to him. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family at MCCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Rd. North on Wednesday, March 21, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The memorial funeral service will be held at St. George United Church, St. George on Thursday, March 22, at 11:00 a.m. If wished, memorial donations to St. George United Church Memorial Fund or the charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
