Helena J.
Horsman, 88, of Hillside View Special Care Home, passed away
peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Born in
Victoria Road, she was the daughter of the late William and Ada
(Dryden) Crandall.
Helena was a
loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She was a member of Dundas Baptist Church, the Christian
Women’s Club and the Lutz Mountain Meeting House. Helena
enjoyed travelling, going on bus tours, watching sports on TV,
knitting, jigsaw puzzles, reading and socializing with her family and
friends.
Helena will
be sadly missed by her children, Judy Coates (Doug) of Dundas, Brian
Horsman (Susan) of Indian Mountain, Brenda Colpitts (Roy) of New
Maryland and Helen Stiles (Martin) of Indian Mountain; grandchildren,
Kirk, Kristy (Jeff), Kent (Melanie), Scott (Rachel), Kelly (Scott),
Niki, Becki (Matt), Luke (Alicia) and Mark (Aline); 16 great
grandchildren; sister, Hilda Horsman of Moncton; sister-in-law, Annie
Mullin (Russell) and numerous nieces and
nephews.
In addition
to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Horsman
(1988); granddaughter, Angela; sisters, Hattie, Hazel and Helen;
brothers, Herman, Hardy, Howard and
Henry.
Visitation
at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on
Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour
Helena’s life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home
Chapel on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Brock Symonds
officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following
the service. Interment will be in Birch Hill
Cemetery.
