OBITUARY
Helen Rose Leblanc
March 9, 1935 – November 19, 2018
It is with great heartache and deep sadness, that we, the family of Helen LeBlanc, regretfully announce her sudden passing on November 19, 2018. Born March 9, 1935 in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Rose Ann (Shea) Covey. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. An active lifelong Roman Catholic, having attended St. Pius X, St. Lawrence and most currently, St. Benedict’s, she was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and the Consolation Choir. Helen’s joys in life were her family, friends, her church and spending the last 40 summers at her home away from home, Ocean Surf Trailer Park, Shediac, New Brunswick. Predesceced by her late husband, Alfred ‘Alf’ Joseph LeBlanc, and her two daughters Jane Marie LeBlanc and Karen Ann LeBlanc, brothers James, Frank and Tom Covey. Survived by her daughter, Rosemary LeBlanc (Mark Gulliver), sons Alfred ‘Fred’ LeBlanc and John LeBlanc; her seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; her sister Mary Norton (late Jack Norton), brothers Vincent Covey (Gayle), Gerald Covey, and John Kane (Liz).
Visitations will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Benedict’s Church 45 Radcliffe Drive, Halifax. Reception to follow in the church hall. Burial will take place in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS.
Family flowers only, donations can be made to St. Benedict’s Church or the Canadian Heart and Stroke foundation.
