Helen Halka Rawluk
The Angels came and took her away,
To be with her Lord-What a glorious day.
It is with great sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother on June 23, 2018 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
Helen was born in Vita, Manitoba on October 20, 1931 to John and Mary Moroz. Moving to Keewatin in 1935 she lived in this district her entire life.
Helen was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital and later at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in the nursing field until her retirement in 1994.
She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by husband Paul of 68 years.
Also left to mourn her loss are sons, Allen, Ron (Louise) and daughter Debbie, precious grandchildren are Reagan (Clayton), Shalene (Wes), Ryan (Shannon), Kevin, Allyse and Reece, great grandchildren Kiera, Brett, Ethan, Hudson, Halo and Abigail were special blessings and provided her with much joy. Also surviving is a brother Ed (Pauline) of Comox, B.C.
She was predeceased by her parents, a sister Olga and a brother Billy.
A Celebration Service of her Life will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas
Ukrainian Catholic Church with Father John Mostivsky officiating with interment to follow at the Ukrainian Cemetery.
