Helen Elizabeth Banks
10 July , 1918 – 1 October , 2018
BANKS, Helen Elizabeth – Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Extendicare Maple View at the age of 100. Survived by nieces Janet (Frank Kewley), Judy (Michael Connors) and nephew Jamie (Cathy Boisclair) and their families, all of Ottawa, and niece Jacqueline Nystedt of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by sister Annie Banks and brothers Jim Banks (late Frances) and Jack Routledge. In accordance with Helen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. (Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel 492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Salvation Army, or the Sault Ste. Marie District Group Health Centre Trust Fund. Special thanks to the staff of Pathways Retirement Home for their compassionate care for the past eight years, which allowed Helen to remain there to celebrate her 100th birthday in July.
