OBITUARY
Hazel May Richardson
March 8, 1932 – June 1, 2018
The family of Mrs. Hazel Richardson announces her passing on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the age of 86 years.
Hazel was predeceased by her first husband Charlie, her second husband James and her son Lorne.
Hazel was born and raised on a farm in Peace River Alberta, the youngest of 8 children. She married Charlie Close in 1952 and had 5 children. She remarried in 1975 to Jim Richardson, and that union brought 4 daughters into our blended family.
Her passions, at which she excelled, were gardening, sewing, crafting and cooking. One of her proud personal accomplishments was owning and operating a commercial greenhouse in Peace River. She enjoyed gatherings with family and visiting with her numerous friends. She was active in the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and in T.O.P.S and held various executive positions in each.
Hazel will be forever loved and remembered by her children: Les (Teresa), Lois, Fred (Sheri) and John, and stepdaughters Carolyn (Greg), Shirley (Tony), Marlene (Willie) and Kathy (Herb). Hazel is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
