Harvey Luther Woodbury
Age 92 of Wellington passed away at the Camphill Memorial Hospital.
Born in Middleboro, Cumberland County, he was the son of Burton and Blanche (McCabe) Woodbury. Growing up on the farm, he later joined the RCAF, as an air gunner, during the Second World War. After the war he met his wife, Marcella in Ottawa and then relocated to Nova Scotia. He worked at the Municipality for a short period and then pursued a career in Carpentry along with being a long shoreman. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing, camping and going to the beach. He was the last surviving sibling of a family of 10. Harvey will be missed by daughter, Joan Lutz (Al); sons, Gerald (Marie), Derrick. Grandchildren, Willie Loftus (Paulette), Juanita Beach (Harry), Jason Woodbury, Dara McDonald (Donnie); great-grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, and Paige. Predeceased by his wife, Marcella (Lapenskie); Son, Darrell, and daughter, Sandra; Sisters, Sue, Bertha, Marg, Ena, Vira; Brothers, Russell, Wallace, Stillman, and Seldon. Legion service to be held at St. Bernard’s Parish, Enfield Thursday January 18 at 10:30 am followed by a funeral and burial Mass at 11:00 am. Reception to follow at the Parish reception hall.
