Obituary for Harvey Carter
Surrounded by family on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Fiddick’s Nursing Home in Petrolia, Thomas Harvey Carter of Wyoming, formerly of Sarnia, went to be with his Lord and Saviour in his 89th year. Beloved husband to Avis Carter (Douglas) (nee Phibbs). Loving father to Mark (Dianne) Carter, Mathew (Shelley) Carter, the late Greg (Margaret) Carter, Bradley (Angela) Carter, Linda (the late Clarence) Carlyle, Janice (Jamie Todd) Douglas, Tracie (Dave) Giesbrecht. Dear papa to 21 grandchildren and to 8 great-grandchildren. Harvey will be missed by his many family members and friends. Harvey had many adventures during his life which included scuba diving, racing motorcycles, snowmobiling, flying planes and restoring classic 1930’s Model A’s. He dearly loved his family and spending time up north at the cottage. Harvey’s church life was very important to him. He was involved in many different ways over the years, from prayers meetings to Sunday School, his church life, and his faith in God, gave him peace of mind. Visitors will be received by the family one hour prior to the memorial service on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at People’s Church, 3888 London Line, Wyoming. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Alzheimer Society Of Sarnia Lambton (alzheimer.ca/en/sarnialambton), or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca).
