SHWEC, Harry (Hryhorij) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harry Shwec on June 8, 2018 at the age of 93, with all his family by his side. Born in Myliavo, Lvivska Oblast, Ukraine, he emigrated to Canada in 1949. He was married to his love Olga (Holubowich) for 61 years, who mourns him dearly. Loving father to Marc (Lydia Kulish), Gregory, Michael (Lesia Prystupa), Adriana, and grandchildren, Adelia, Zoya, Jasmine, Andriko, Theodore, Mateyko, and Luca. He also leaves behind extended family in Canada and Ukraine. He will be deeply missed and loved forever for his family values, courage, diplomacy, and steadfast love of Ukraine, which he instilled in all of his children.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CYM Benevolent Fund.
