The passing Harry Clayton Smith of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Lillian (Hanson) Smith occurred on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 4, 1923 in Burton, NB, he was the son of the late William and Mildred (Forester) Smith. He was a Contactor with H C Smith and Sons. Harry was a member of Sunset Church.
Harry is survived by his children, Billy Smith (Edie) of Fredericton, NB, Nancy Lafranchise (Leo) of Hanwell, NB, Bob Smith (Dawnna) of Fredericton, NB, Shyanne Panburn (Lloyd) of Hanwell, NB and Rick Smith (Cathy) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Vicki, Darren, Katie, Dylan, Karen, David, Brent, Penny, Darren, Jason, Kelly and Brad; great grandchildren, Matthew, Jordan, Logan and Ben; sister, Jean Poirier of Saint John, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Shyanna; sisters, Annie Hetherington, Christine Hood, Beatrice Schleyer and Frances Sansom; brother, Russell, Roy and Clarence Smith.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 11-1 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 1 pm with Rev. Joseph Beesley officiating. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery.
