Mr. Harry Arthur Day
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harry Arthur Day at the age 85. He passed away peacefully at Milton District Hospital, in the presence of family, on Saturday July 21, 2018. Harry was born in Hamilton, Ontario on March 3, 1933, to Arthur and Helena Day, and graduated from Delta High School, and McMaster University.
Harry married Patricia Theresa O’Grady of Hamilton Ontario on October 16, 1954; they were married for 62 years. Patricia preceded Harry in death on September 10, 2016. Harry is survived by, Daughters Karen Miller (Kevin); Glenda Ireland (Keith); Leslie Day (Craig Conly); Stacey Clarke (James); Jill Voros (Rob); His son Tony Day (Crystal); Grandchildren Craig Miller; Heather, Brent and Dean Ireland; Cole Conly; Mackenzie and Marcus Clarke; Tristan and Lauren Voros; Chelsea and Hudson Day. Harry is survived by, sister Lois (Peter); and preceded in death by his brother Lorne; sisters Arlene (Fin); Mildred (George); Betty (Marshall). In addition to raising his six children, Harry proudly worked throughout his life, until retirement from Ford Motor Company after over 30 Years. He enjoyed golf, tennis, theatre, and world travels, where he developed many meaningful friendships. The family will receive friends at the Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home – Ancaster Chapel, 378 Wilson St. E., Ancaster, ON. from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Parish 11 Wilson Street, Ancaster, ON, on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, located at 254 Garner Rd W, Ancaster, ON. A time of reflection and refreshments will follow the internment, at 1:30 p.m., at Copetown Woods Golf Club, 1430 Concession 2 Rd W, Copetown, ON L0R 1J0. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in honour of wife Patricia. The family of Harry Arthur Day wishes to thank the caring staff, at the Birkdale Place Retirement Residence.
