Obituary of Harold Kells
KELLS: Harold Floyd –
A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Drayton, Harold Kells passed away peacefully at the Meadow Park Nursing Home on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the age of 93.
Born in Drayton, Harold was the son of the late Fred and Salinda (Ernst) Kells.
Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Blanche (nee Snelling) (2009). Dear companion to Helen Mills.
Loving father of Floyd Kells (Brenda) of Chatham.
Dear grandfather of Ryan Kells (Emily Kennedy) and Shawn Kells (Tammy), both of Chatham. Great-grandfather to Jack and Libby.
Dear brother to Ron Kells (Phyllis) of Burlington. Predeceased by his siblings Gertrude Scarlett, Beatrice Schieck, Verna Holborn, Carson Kells and Arnold Kells.
Harold retired in 1991 from J-K Farm Equipment, which he owned and operated for many years. He had been a founding member of the St. James Presbyterian Church and Choir.
A Memorial Service will be held for Harold at St. James Presbyterian Church, 310 McNaughton Ave West, Chatham on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mike Maroney officiating. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment to be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery a later date.
Donations made in memory of Harold to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
