Obituary for
Harold Derrick Foster
It is with deep sorrow that the family of the late Harold Derrick Foster announces his sudden passing. Harold slipped peacefully away from the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Thursday, May 24th, 2018 at the age of 77 years.
Predeceased by his parents – Herbert & Marjorie Foster; parents-in-law – Harvey & Myrtis Burton; sister – Melba Budgell-Oake (Harold) and brothers-in-law – Ted Burton and Gordon Bounds.
Left to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories is his wife of 55 years – Audrey; children – Karen Melindy (Peri), Springdale, NL, Blair Foster (Jackey), Labrador City, NL, Dale Froud (Wayne), Corner Brook, NL, Kathy Foster (Graham), La Scie, NL and David Foster (Jill), Elmsdale, NS; grandchildren – Hannah Melindy, Benjamin Melindy, Joshua Foster (Ashley), Leah & Emma Froud and Dawson, Jordan & Angel Foster; siblings – Marilyn Bounds (Dave), Glynn Foster (Joan), Willie Foster (Velma), Tony Foster (Emily), Garry Foster and Gloria Moore (Kevin); stepmother – Dorothy Foster and her family; brother-in-law – Don Burton (Lorraine); brother-in-law and special friend – Harry Oake (Yvette) and special friend – Clyde Saunders, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Public Visitation will take place from Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Friday, May 25th, 2018 from 7:00-9:00PM and on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 from 1:00-9:00PM.
Reverend Chris Mazhandu will conduct the Funeral Service from Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Sunday, May 27th, 2018 at 2:00PM. Interment to follow from Zion United Church Cemetery, La Scie, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Harold’s memory to the Zion United Church Cemetery Fund.
