Harley Matthews
1945-2018
MATTHEWS HARLEY – Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital, on
Sunday, June 10th, 2018; Harley Matthews of Wilson’s Beach, NB.
Born on Campobello Island, he is the son of the late James Abraham
& Margaret Leona (Goodeill) Matthews.
Harley worked over the years with Connors Bros. as well as the
Island Department of Transportation. He truly loved the outdoors and
when he could he would go fishing and camping.
Harley is survived by his 2 sons Darrell of Wilson’s
Beach, NB and David of Easport, ME, U.S.A., 1 brother Glen of
Campobello, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his 4 sisters, Elva Jane Matthews, Lorena H.
Mitchell, Edna M. Buchanan, and Eloise C. Matthews.
Resting at Wilson’s Beach Pentecostal Church, from where
the family will receive friends during a time of visitation on
Wednesday from 7 … 9 pm only.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 14th,
2018 at 2:00 pm at Wilson’s Beach Community Cemetery, Head
Harbour Road. Pastor Randy Harris officiating.
A reception will immediately follow at Edith Lank Camp.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Living Memorial Program would
