It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife and mother at the Jurivinski Hospital, on Thursday, December 6, 2018, while surrounded by members of her loving family.
Beloved wife to Ivan of 61 years and cherished mother of George (Karen). Much loved baba of Jaclyn. Predeceased by brother Wolodymyr (Sonja) Ploszczansky, sister Maria (Petro) Domchenko and sister Irena (Michael) Junkiewicz. Teta Halyna will be sadly missed by Taras, Larysa (Victor), Elizabeth, Sylvia (Robert), Halya, Olga, Natalka and their families. Halyna was a long-time member of Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday, December 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Panachyda to be said at 7:30 pm. Funeral service will take place at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church – 15 St. Olga Street (at Barton St.) on Monday, December 10 at 10:00 am with Reverend Yuriy Tykhyy officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Burlington.
As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Church in Halyna’s memory.
