Thorne, H. Noreine – Port Royal, Annapolis Co., NS, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2018. Born in Carrington, Cumberland County on September 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Patterson) DeWolfe. In retirement, Noreine and Stephen enjoyed numerous trips to the eastern USA that always included a visit with her special cousin, Virginia (Ginger) Dillinger in Corinth, Mississippi. She loved to knit and shared her finished items with family, friends and charities. She is survived by her son, David; daughter, Susan (Bill) Nelson; and her cherished grandchildren/great-grandchildren, Michael (Shannon King) Nelson and Sierra, Tavish and Jasper; Stephen; Christine (Brad McFeters) Thorne and Ryan and Kyle; sister, Norma (Eric) Frederick; sisters-in-law, Eleanor DeWolfe and Mary Hughes-Kelley as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen; sister, Patty Cleveland; brother, Ronald DeWolfe, niece Shirley Smith and daughter-in-law, Carol Thorne. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448. There will be no visitation with private burial in Stoney Beach Cemetery, Granville Beach, NS. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Society, Stoney Beach Cemetery (c/o John Armstrong, 240 St. George Street, Annapolis Royal, B0S 1A0) or a charity of your choice.
