Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 20, 2018, Gordon Joseph Picco, aged 54. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Maureen Picco, sister Judith and brother Craig. Left to celebrate his life the loves of his life: his wife Billie Jo, son Nicholas and daughter Jessica; sisters Karen (Bill) and Jennifer (Sheldon); special nieces and nephews Jeanette (Dwayne), Courtney, Craig, Cole, and Connor; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Special thanks to the following people for their overwhelming support: the staff and co-workers at Pleasantview Towers, Northwest Taxi, the O’Reilly family, and all those who contributed to the fundraiser for the family, the doctors and staff at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Center, the PCU team at the Miller Centre (especially Carmel and Frankie), and Regina from Community Health. An extra special thank you to Dr. Essaji for all his dedication to the family during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 and Wednesday April 25th, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m & 7 – 9 p.m. A celebration of Gord’s Life will be held on Thursday, April 26th, 2018 at 11 a.m in the Caul’s Chapel, with inurnment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. A reception will follow the service, details to be announced. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in his memory can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation, or to a charity of one’s choice.
