Gordon Keeler
Keeler, Gordon Markland – age 87 of Dartmouth. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 in Glasgow Hall. Born in Kingston, Ont. he was the son of the late Gordon W. and Margaret (Miles) Keeler. Gordon graduated from the RCMP “Depot” Division, “T” Squad in 1949. After serving 23 years with the RCMP in “H” Division he retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following his retirement from the RCMP he was employed with the Nova Scotia Dept. of Labour as a conciliator retiring in 1991. He was a long serving member of the RCMP Veterans Association. Gordon is survived by wife, Joan (Bruhm); sons, Gregory (Cheryl), Hammonds Plains, Gordon (Nancy), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Curtis (Jennifer), Gregory T., Sarah. He was predeceased by son, Michael; brothers, James, Donald, William “Arlie” and sister, Ruby. Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, February 19 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield.
