Lovingly Remembered
Gordon Weppler passed away peacefully at the University of Alberta Hospital on January 3, 2018 at the age of 89 years. We miss our Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa but will cherish memories of good times shared with him.
Gordon was born in Mooresburg, Ontario as the oldest son to parents Clarence and Mary (Vogl). He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Gordon is survived by his wife Muriel (Atkinson); son Clarence (Marilyn Tomney)’ daughter Meryl (Brian Beisiegel); sisters Sally Vanwyck and Mary (Michael Lawrence); brothers Arnold and Ken; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
In keeping with Gordon’s wishes no formal service will be held and cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gordon to The Lung Association of Alberta www.ab.lung.ca/donate or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
