Gordon « Doug » Russell
RUSSELL, Gordon Douglas “Doug” – passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre on April 15, 2018, in his 82nd year. Loving father of Karen (Chris) Alonzo. Proud Papa of Nicole Alonzo and her boyfriend Cody McConnell. Dear brother of Terry (Kathleen) Russell of Sharon ON, Uncle of Meaghen (Devon) Thorne of Toronto ON, and Cassie Russell of Victoria, BC. Doug will be lovingly remembered by his best friend Steven (Linda) Buskard and their children Carrie and Jason. Survived by Wendy Zablocki, Michelle and Danielle Bisaillon. Doug owned and operated Doug Russell Car Sales Ltd. until his retirement in 2004. A very special thank you to Dr. K. Rahman, Dr. J. Hadley and all the staff on Bluebird at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre, who treated Doug with dignity, compassion and love during his time there. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Doug’s life will take place at the CHARING CROSS RECEPTION SUITES, 63 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, St. Joseph’s Lifecare Foundation or the Brant County S.P.C.A., would be greatly appreciated.
