Forever Missed and Always Dearly Loved
It is with profound sadness that Craig’s family announce his passing at home on March 11, 2018 at the age of 38 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Carla Carter of Strathmore; his stepchildren: Mitchell Archer (Tessa) of Strathmore and Chelsea Archer of Calgary; and his daughter Tayler Dawn Marie Bishop of North Sydney, NS. Craig will also be dearly missed by his mother Esther Gillam; brother Shawn “Chico” (Michelle) Laybolt; sister Kelly Carter (Todd); his uncle Billy (Carla) Gillam; nieces and nephews: Kelsey, Jasmine, Darian, Carly and Emily; his mother and father-in-law Carol and Wayne Lightfoot; brothers-in-law: Shane (Melanie) Lightfoot and Ryan (Jen) Lightfoot and their children: Avery, Isaac, Caleb, and Sydney. He was predeceased by his father Gordon Carter and his stepfather Wallace Wall.
Craig was always willing to help someone in need. He was passionate about woodworking and riding his motorcycle. Craig spend many hours sharing his knowledge with Mitch and Chelsea and creating loving gifts for his family. He was the kind of man that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Craig will be forever missed and always dearly loved.
A Celebration of Craig’s Life will be held in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
