Gloria Jean (Burns) Kilpatrick passed away on Remembrance Day 2018 into the arms of her Lord and Savior at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Saint John, NB on November 28, 1943 to the late James and Marion (Lawrence) Burns and was the loving wife of 56 years to husband Barry Kilpatrick.
Gloria loved nature, loved her family, and loved her Lord. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend and will be deeply missed.
Along with her husband Barry, she is survived by her son Scott (Denise), daughters; Cindy (Denise Ainsworth) Kilpatrick, Jill (Boyd) Winter and Jennifer (Garry Warren) Kilpatrick, grandchildren; Deanna, Peter, Alysha, Joshua, Michael, Rebecca and Charlotte, sisters; Florence Tyler, Doreen Worden and Josie Sleigh, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Robert Henry Burns and James Malcolm Burns.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8pm. A funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10am, with interment to follow in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery in Upham at 12pm for those who wish to attend. Memorial donations in Gloria’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
