Peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Sunday June 24, 2018 age 94 years. Glendon George Smith of Finch. Beloved husband of Lois (McDermid) Smith. Loved father of Lynn Smith (Danielle) of St. Albert and Donna Lee Smith (Mike) of Ottawa. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Melissa (Matt), Michelle (Julien), Dominique (Brodie), Patrick (Jamie); special granddad to Treacey, Samantha, Sinead and families and great grandchildren Olivia, Emma and Hailey. Predeceased by his parents George and Margaret (Young) Smith; one brother Fraser Smith and two sisters Ilene Briscoe and Hilda Dillabough. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home 18 Front Street Finch on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. [A SERVICE IN CELEBRATION OF GLENDON SMITH’S LIFE WILL BE HELD IN CHALMER’S UNITED CHURCH FINCH ON FRIDAY JUNE 29, 2018 AT 11AM.]. Reverend Lois Gaudet officiating. Interment to follow at the Finch Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or C.N.I.B. would be appreciated by the family.
