Obituary Overview
Glen Morris Harman
Glen’s journey came to a gentle end on Saturday, June 23, 2018.
Glen leaves behind to carry his memory his loving mother Phyllis, brother Brian (Annette), nephews Garret, Mackenzie (Kyla) and great niece Adeline, Aunt Joyce and many cousins, his S.P.I.K.E ( Special People in Kildonan East) family, Jayme, Dhillon, Amanda, Peter, Waldo, Hari, Glen, and all his wonderful caregivers.
Although Glen lived with the challenges of Fragile X Syndrome and Asperger’s Autism he led a full life including his career with W.A.S.O (Work and Social Opportunities). He was very happy that he had an early retirement! He enjoyed collecting things and had an extensive collection of mugs, DVDs’, pins, train memorabilia and business cards. He had a passion for Steam Locomotive # 3 « Prairie Dog Central » and was a long time member of the Vintage Locomotive Society INC.
Glen’s family would like to extend the greatest thanks to S.P.I.K.E for their loving care over the last 40 years. A special thank you to Dr. J. Rabson who cared for Glen over 20 years guiding the S.P.I.K.E team and our family to assist Glen. Many thanks to the staff of St. Boniface General Hospital Emergency, 5A Cardiology and the Manitoba Palliative Care Team.
