Gladys Joan Day
January 26, 1935 – August 26, 2018
DAY, Gladys J. – 83, of Dartmouth, passed away on August 26, 2018 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude (Bishop) Hutchinson. Gladys had worked for Sears for many years and volunteered at Margaret’s House on a weekly basis. She is survived by Marcha (Carmine) Simone and three nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd; brother, Albert; sister, Lynn Ann Shuttleworth. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8pm today, Thursday, August 30, with a memorial service at 1pm Friday, August 31, both in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
