GLADYS M. HYNES
1925-2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late
GLADYS M. HYNES of English Harbour East announces her passing at the
Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Wednesday, June
27th, 2018, at the age of
92. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories are sons, Gerald of Terrenceville, and Michael (Ruby)
of Burgeo; daughter-in-law; Catherine Hynes of Medicine Hat; 7
grandchildren, Jeanita Hynes Brenton (Jack), and Ruby Clarke
(Randell); Derek Hynes (Loraine), Samantha Hynes (Danny), Nathan Hynes
(Corina), and their mother Patsy Hynes; and Cindy Anderson (Dale), and
Joy Warren (Tony); 6 great-grandchildren, James, Mackenzie, Makayla,
Madison, Jaelyn, and Carter; brother, Thomas Labour (Rae) of Truro,
NS; sisters, Emily Kearley of English Harbour East, and Susie Labour
(Leslie) of Lamaline; plus a large circle of relatives and
friends. She was predeceased by her
husband, John Hynes; son, James Hynes; brothers, Chesley, Robert and
Joe Labour; granddaughter, Kimmy Tyman; and brother-in-law, Thomas
Kearley.
The Hynes Family will be accepting visitors at St.
Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, English Harbour East, on
Thursday, June 28th, beginning at 2:00 p.m.; and
Friday, June 29th, all
day. Mass of Christian Burial will
take place on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 at 11:00
a.m. Interment will follow at St.
Anne’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in English Harbour
East.
In Gladys’
memory donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or flowers
gratefully accepted.
