LePERA, Giovanni « John » – with profound sadness, we announce that John has lost his courageous battle after a brief illness, Wednesday September 12th, 2018. Cherished husband of Renata. Loving father to Jonathan (Melissa) and Sonia (Warren) Mullins. Doting Nonno to Cameron, Ethan, Sophia, Lilah and Tessa. Dear brother to Steve. Predeceased by his parents Damiano and Maria and sister-in-law Joanne. John was a life-long employee of the St. Lawrence Seaway (retired in 1999) and resident of Thorold South. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and extended family members, both locally and in Italy, and by his dog Rocky. He will be especially missed by his friends; too many to mention. Friends will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Friday, September 14th, 2018 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM and from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Vigil Prayers will be recited at 3:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 15th at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 21 Queen Street South, Thorold. Rite of Committal Lakeview Cemetery.
