It is with great love and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother. Predeceased by her loving husband Edmund, her parents Louise and Ruben Somerton, son Edmund, sister Madge McDonald, brother Austin Somerton, sister in-law Matilda Someton. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Holly and Bernadette and son Gary (Wanda). Also her brother Charles Somerton and family (Ontario). Nanny Jean will be loved and missed by her grandchildren Andrew (Nikki), Jennifer (Jason), Vanessa, Morgan, Riley, Darcy, Daxon and Kristen, greatgrandchildren Aidan and Jillian, a huge circle of nieces, nephews, friends, special friend Elsie Higgins and special life long friends Marg, Enid, Colleen, Cindy and Peggy. Visitation will be at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday, April 2 from 12 noon – 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove, on Tuesday, April 3 at 2 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. Lawrence Anglican Church or the Kidney Foundation.
