Gertrud Maria Lisa Buschbeck, died suddenly in her home on January 4, 2018 in her 82nd year. She immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1984 with her husband Kurt, who predeceased her in 2002.
Gertrud was the much-loved mom of Chris (Axel Meister), Andreas (late Sandra and Nicole Heber) and Martin (Sharon). She was the best Oma to Lucas (Gillian), Michael (Amanda), Sam (Christena), Matthew, Josephine, Janica and Pauline and proud Great-Oma to Colton. The second youngest of 11 siblings she is survived by sisters Helga and Heinke and brother Walter as well as many nieces and nephews in many parts of the world.
Gertrud will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.
A celebration of her life will take place at the May Funeral Home, Markdale on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. – words of remembrance will be held at 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation or a local Food Bank are appreciated.
