Gerald “Gerry” Roy Cook, age 75, of Stratford, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in North Easthope Township, son of the late Ruben and Eva (Doering) Cook. Best friend and true love of 54 years to Shirley (Baumbach) Cook. Proud and loving father of Gary Cook and Karen Deighton. Grandfather of Holly, Dan and Tessa Deighton. Gerry will be remembered by his son-in-law Rudy Deighton and his sister-in-law Shirley Cook, Geraldine Baumbach along with many nieces and nephews. Gerry was a longtime employee of FAG Bearings for 39 years before retiring in 2005. Besides his parents, Gerry was predeceased by his brothers Donald and Ralph Cook and brother-in-law Ken Baumbach. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be held on Friday, May 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
