Gerdina “Gerry” Antonia Vanmeurs (Bax) passed away peacefully and went into God’s hands, in the presence of family at Greenwood Court Retirement Home, on December 26th, 2018. Gerry was the beloved wife of Henk Vanmeurs for the more than 60 years that they worked together to build a family and a farm on the 5th concession of North Easthope. Loving and much loved mother of: Joanne Pippel (Herb), Karen de Ruiter (Paul), Richard Vanmeurs (Marjorie), Yvonne Koskamp (Ralph) and Sheila Boone (David). Much missed Oma of Carla, Daniel, Ryan, Megan, Hannah and Kyle, Jenna, Brendan and Ian, Jillian, Marten, Sheila, Miriam and Alex, Stephanie, Lindsey and Luke
Erika. Old Oma to nine. Sister to the late Annie Wolst (late Theo), the late Jake Bax (Ute), the late Bob Bax (late Greet), Corrie Kronemeyer (late John), the late Thona “Toos” Terpstra (late Renze) Maria Bax and Jeannette Runciman (Bob). Aunt too many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law to Els Klien (Frits), the late Frits Vanmeurs (Joke), Herbert Vanmeurs. Predeceased by her parents Hermanus and Sibrigje Bax (Reinsma). Friends and relatives are invited to Gerry’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Stratford Christian Reformed Church, 190 Athlone Crescent, Stratford. Light Luncheon to follow. A private family interment took place on Friday, Decembers 27, 2018 at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford.
She is awaiting resurrection.
