Gerry passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 89 years of age. Gerry was born and raised in Calgary, AB. After graduating from high school in 1946, Gerry joined the Bank of Nova Scotia, where he spent his entire working career of 42 years. In December 1953 Gerry transferred with the Bank to Jamaica, where he spent four years. After his return to Canada Gerry met Lois McIntosh, a woman he loved dearly, and in 1961 they were married. In 1962, Lois, Gerry, and Lois’s three-year-old… daughter Susan, moved to Lumby, B.C., where Gerry had his first posting as Branch Manager. Gerry subsequently worked as Manager in Dawson Creek, BC, Vauxhall, AB and Stettler, AB, where he retired in 1988. After his retirement, Lois and Gerry moved to Okotoks, AB, where they lived out their days. Gerry had a passion for his family, his garden and a variety of sports. Gerry was a gentle soul who will be missed. Gerry is predeceased by his wife Lois, his daughter Susan and his brothers James and Colin; and is survived by his sons Bruce and Grant, his grandsons Justin and Jesse, his brother Donald (Toronto), his sister Beryl (Ottawa), and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the staff of Canterbury 2 at the Tudor Manor health residence in Okotoks for all the love, care and attention that was afforded our father. A service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 26, 2018, at Snodgrass Funeral Homes, 200 Woodgate Road, Okotoks, AB.
