I’ve left Kenora and this life. I was born December 17, 1926 to George and Olive (Jarrett) Harvey in Sault
Ste. Marie, Ontario.
I married Gerald FitzGerald in 1947 and moved to Kenora, the best place on earth, in 1948.
I was predeceased by my parents, my husband, my sister Olive and husband Dan Saunders and sisters-in-law and their spouses Harriet and Lester Cory and Mary and Lachlan Coonan.
Left to celebrate my memories are daughter Patricia and her husband Ken Pernsky and their children Kendra (Scott) Soyka and Laura-Lee (Todd Desautels) and son Gerald and his wife Heidi (Chisholm) and their children Aurora (Brandon Penfold), Naomi (James) Williams and Jarrett. I also leave behind my precious great-granddaughter Erika Soyka and second great-grandbaby due in January 2019. And not to be forgotten my special friend Fay Gyenge who I thank for all the care and help she provided me in my later years.
A warm and sincere thank you to all the wonderful caregivers, both at Pinecrest and CCAC, who brought such joy into my life with their compassion and stories, and Mike, Alexis and Dr. Thomas for their professional support. I hope each person – nieces, nephews, cousins and friends – who shared in my life knows how much you meant to me. We will meet again.
My family is hosting a Celebration of My Life at Southward Villa, 206 6th St S on Saturday January 5, 2019 from 2-4 pm.
