In Loving Memory of George
York, George Michael – of St. Catharines, Ontario went on extended vacation on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the age of 85. George was born in Tiny Township near Penetanguishine, Ontario. Beloved husband to Geraldine. Survived by four daughters, one son and several grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and one brother Hughie. He was predeceased by 10 brothers and 4 sisters. George was a retired member of the Ontario Provincial Police after serving for 31 years in various locations throughout Ontario. George and Geraldine enjoyed many years of travel during their retirement. George will be remembered for his great sense of humour. Cremation has taken place. The York family will receive visitors at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME 2000 Merrittville Highway, Thorold on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of George’s Life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local Humane Society.
