It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Hickman announce his passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing on Sunday January 21st 2018 at the age of 85 years. He will be sadly missed by sons: Rick (Marsha) in Winnipeg, Terry (Heather) in Whitby, Ont. his daughters: Cathy (Phil) Edmonds in Fort McMurray, Wanda Hunter (Jim) in Beaverton, Ont., his grandchildren P.J. , Ashley, Samantha, Lauren, Jeremy and Jacob. Also leaving to mourn his special friend Ann Marie LePage, his sisters in law Mary Hickman, Joan Hickman and Eileen Hickman and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Annie Hickman, his brothers Randell, Wallace, Herbert, Jebez, Curtis, James, Norman , sisters Hester Hansen and Mary Burke. Visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville on Wednesday January 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 The funeral service will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday January 25 at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place on Friday January 26th at 2 p.m. in Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center for the years of care and compassion shown to their dad.
