TESSIER – George 1947-2018
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Tessier at Hospice Niagara with his family at his side, on November 5th, 2018 at the age of 71. Devoted husband of 45 years to Lise (nee Blais). Loving father of Kenneth (Susan) and Tommy (Jocelyne). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Nicholas, Victoria, Madeleine and Lyam. He will be missed by his siblings; Maurice (Rita), Marshall (Michele), Diane (Jules Thibert) and Jackie (Bob Forsythe) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Martial and Albina (nee Bissonnette), his brother Pierre and sisters Murielle and Huguette « Yogi ».
George loved driving trucks for over 40 years. In his pastime, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with family and friends and loved listening to Elvis Presley and country music. He was always there to help people, whether he was feeling good or bad and it didn’t matter what time of day or night. On weekends he played cards and cribbage with his friends and enjoyed playing pool at the local legion. He will be missed by many.
In keeping with George’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Service will take place on November 30th, 2018 at 4pm at Welland Be in Christ located at 50 Lincoln St, Welland, On following by a Celebration of life from 5pm to 8pm. Donations to the Hospice Niagara “The Stabler Centre” unit 2-403 Ontario St, St.Catharines.
