George Raymond McCarville
April 20, 1929 – November 16, 2018
At the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Friday, November 16th, 2018, in his 90th year. George Raymond Carville was born in Maple Plains, Prince Edward Island on April 20th, 1929. Ray is survived by his sisters, Frances Burd, Mary McCarville, and sisters-in-law June McCarville, Doreen McCormick, Bernice Gallant. He is predeceased by his wife Rita (May 16, 1993), his son Allan (July 15, 2009). Also predeceased by his parents Parnell and Mary Maude McCarville, his sister Edna Hagen (Louis), his brothers Leo, Lorne (Teresa), Emmett (Aggie), George. Ray worked for General Foods in Cobourg, retired from Kelloggs in Toronto, and was an avid Bridge player. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church (corner of University Ave. and Division St. in Cobourg) on Thursday, November 22nd at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Cobourg. Special thank you to Rosemary & Don Nicholson for their care and kindness to Ray over the years. Thanks as well to family friend Bill Cole for always being helpful. A final thank you to Dr.Essak, the nursing staff at NHH Restorative Care and all the dedicated staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital.
