George « Bob » Deluney
DELUNEY, George “Bob” Robert – age 83 of Dartmouth passed away February 7, 2018 in the ICU at Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by family. Born in North Sydney he was a son of the late Frederick and Kathleen (Adams) Deluney. Bob was a very loving and caring man. Before retiring in 1994 he was a long time employee of the City of Dartmouth as well as working as a driver for Bob’s Taxi. He enjoyed playing darts at the Newfoundland Club. Bob loved going for long drives. He is survived by his partner Joan Barnes, Dartmouth; daughters Kathi Dawn, Kelly-Ann Baker (Derek), sons Karl (Stacey) Deluney, all of Dartmouth, Kenneth (Marie) Dawn, Lake Echo; sisters Betty Oakley, Dartmouth, Bev Beaman (Bud), BC; brother Gene (Melba) Deluney, Berwick, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his wife Margaret Hines, brothers Pat and Joe and sister Grace. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held 10 am -12 pm, Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St, Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of your choice.
